Everyone who knows me knows that I love to cook and experiment with different foods. Even though I like to experiment with different recipes, I always feel like I’m making the same things, or when I do venture out and make something new, it just doesn’t taste as good as it looked or sounded.
If you cook for yourself or for your family, I’m sure you constantly feel this way too. Even if you don’t cook often, and are looking to cook more frequently, there’s always an uncertainty to trying out new recipes and preparing big meals. If you’re looking to expand your cooking skills, Happy Chef might be for you.
Happy Chef is an online cooking class. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening, a team of chefs will broadcast to teach you how to prepare certain foods and recipes. Essentially, you’re getting cooking classes without ever having to leave your home.
Connect to Happy Chef via your laptop, smartphone, or tablet, and tune in on Monday’s, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7pm Eastern Standard Time, and watch 30-45 minute classes on how to prepare and cook affordable, well-balanced, and delicious meals. If you have questions at any point, you can ask away and get a response. The classes are live!
Aside from the classes, each week Happy Chef will send you recipe guides to help you prepare the different dishes. The guide is intended to make the prep and cooking processes easier for you and to help you buy the right amount of ingredients that you will need. You can also connect with other members to leave feedback on the recipes, and give and receive tips to make your experiences even better, or to put a twist on the dish to make it more desirable for your taste buds.
Aside from leaving feedback, members also gain access to all of the past recipes and tutorial videos, and they can be accessed from any web-connected device. So, if you missed part of a class, or don’t quite remember how to make a dish, you can just go back and watch it again.
This program is great for anyone who is looking to get more cooking experience or just wants to expand their cooking knowledge a bit. Since the recipes are aimed to be well-balanced meals, it’s even a way to learn how to cook healthier and make healthier meal choices. Keep those New Year’s resolutions going strong without having to put in a ton of extra work.
If you have a busy schedule, and you’re not sure if you’ll be able to make all of the classes, don’t worry. As I said earlier, as a member, you can go back and watch any of the classes and view any of the recipes. We’re all busy people and have lives, we’re all bound to miss something. The only feature that you won’t have is to ask the chef’s any questions, but that’s when you can turn to the blog and ask any members questions or seek tips and advice from them. Plus, the beta testing is totally free, so you have nothing to lose by signing up and giving it a try.
Aside from learning new recipes or how to cook, Happy Chef might even save you some money. Think about it, when you can’t decide what to cook, do you tend to satisfy your hunger with takeout? I know I do because it’s an easier decision than deciding what to cook. But if I had easier access to recipes or better ideas of things to cook, it would save me from ordering out that Chinese food or save me a trip to Arby’s. All of that fast food and take out adds up, and even if I eliminated one takeout meal a week, I’d be saving myself a decent amount of money each month.
Though the program has yet to launch, the company is offering free beta testing starting in the spring. If it’s something that you are interested in, go ahead and test it for free. Visit their website to learn more information, and to sign up to try the beta phase of the program. The website is https://www.happychef.live/. If you have any additional questions that can’t be found on their website, you can also find Happy Chef on Twitter, @happychefapp.
