This October, BollyX – the Bollywood Workout, is celebrating body empowerment and encouraging everyone to celebrate body positivity. Emphasis on health and wellness has been an exponentially growing trend in the last few years and more importantly, positive body image and self love have been taking the lead in promoting mental wellness in addition to just physical wellness.
The movement to promote body positivity is not a revolutionary one. Brands and celebrities like aerie, Dove, Serena Williams and Lena Dunham have taken stands since 2012 to declare bans on body shaming, self demotion, and negative self talk. But the advent of social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook have pushed the movement to virality.
In the month of October, BollyX will be celebrating every body: short and tall, curvy and straight, and everything else in between! At its core, BollyX is not just a dance fitness workout, but also a platform where class participants and instructors can build self confidence by unleashing their inner rockstars. By giving people the opportunity to perform in a judgment-free zone, it ultimately leads to participants opening their minds to embrace dance, new experiences, and most importantly, themselves.
Throughout the month, BollyX will be sharing stories from the team, their partners, and their community to promote this campaign. Additionally, to further promote awareness, BollyX will be giving away 100 free instructor training certifications. The free certifications will hopefully inspire those who want to start or continue their journeys in body empowerment by giving them an avenue to pursue new adventures and goals.
BollyX is a Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music from around the world. Its 50-minute cardio workout cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to get you moving, sweating, and motivated.
