Break Down Every “Molekule” of Pollutant with this New Air Purifier

Ingenuity can stem from tragedy. There is a natural balance between all things which causes the bad to neutralized by the good; death is neutralized by birth, disease is neutralized by medical innovation, and Republicans are neutralized by Democrats (or vice versa, depending on your political perspectives), etc. The cycle is never-ending, and because of this, good things can also be neutralized by the bad. For example, the human race has been on an incredible upswing because of the Earth’s suitable conditions. Because of this, we have had the opportunity to use fossil fuels to power our various machines. Hopefully, if you’re reading this, you believe global warming exists, otherwise my point is effectively neutralized by you (that’s a little joke).

In any case, the use of fossil fuels has gotten so bad that someone could suck up the air in China and make a solid block of pollution (this isn’t a hyperbole; look it up). So, Earth’s perfect conditions cause humans to evolve to the point where we can excavate oil, the use of fossil fuels cause a ridiculous amount of pollution, and pollution causes various health problems for people. Fortunately for us, the , “bad” known as air pollution is being neutralized, to some degree, by air purifiers.

A man name Yogi Goswami realized the tragedy that is air pollution when his son Dilip started to experience breathing problems because of his asthma. Yogi tried every air purifier he could get his hands on, but none of them could clean the air well enough to ease Dilip’s condition. So, he decided to create an air purifier that could get the job done.

The result of Yogi’s effort is an air purifier known as Molekule. The device is able to suck up mold, allergens, and bacteria and break them down using a process most other filters don’t use. It can destroy particles up to a thousand times smaller than what a normal filter can using nanotechnology that utilizes photoelectrochemical oxidation. This removes most pollutants in the air on a molecular level. Even the most sensitive person can breathe comfortably in the clean air produced by Molekule.

There are several other types of filters that use methods like, thermodynamic sterilization, physically catching the pollutants, activated carbon, ultraviolet germicidal irradiation, etc. The methods have obviously gotten better over the years, but nothing has come close to this level of effectiveness. Rather than simply collecting pollutants in the air, Molekule destroys them. Regular HEPA filters can’t trap small pollutants that are smaller than 0.3 microns. Even worse, mold and bacteria can grow and live inside of HEPA filters. If you are not extremely careful, the pollutants that build up inside of those filters will be released back into the air. Also, people can be affected by many different things in the air. Some of these include viruses, allergens, mold, bacteria, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The effects of those various things can be sore throats, wheezing, runny noses, itchy eyes, rashes, influenza, fevers, headaches, dizziness, nausea, pneumonia, and much more.

Molekule’s website lists some of the benefits of their air purifier:

“Molekule can completely replace the air in a 600 square foot room once every . . . it is also fully portable so you can easily move Molekule from room to room . . . (our) annual filter subscription ensures you never run out of filters (and) replacements are delivered to your door when you need them (and) service costs just $99 a year, and the first year is free . . . (our) unique technology doesn’t emit ozone or any other any harmful byproduct (and) studies have shown it can reduce the concentration of ozone in the air.”

The price for the filter stands at $799, which is definitely higher than your average air purifier, but in my opinion, the price is well worth it. Molekule is a startup based in San Francisco, and even though it’s prices may seem high, their product was flying off the shelf during the California wildfires in the autumn of 2017. If you’ve been looking for an incredibly effective air purifier, then Molekule is the product that will neutralize your needs.
